Description

The Trinity is a 2-metre three-phase surface-mounted track rail in black aluminium, designed to carry multiple track spotlights across three separate electrical circuits. Each circuit can be controlled independently, allowing lighting to be zoned within a single track run—useful in retail displays, galleries, kitchens and open-plan commercial spaces where different areas need different lighting levels or on/off schedules.

The track mounts directly onto ceilings or soffits using surface-fix brackets (sold separately) and accepts Maytoni Trinity track heads and compatible three-phase track fittings. The 2m length suits medium-to-large rooms or can be joined end-to-end using connector accessories to create continuous runs across longer spaces. The track can be cut to custom lengths on-site using a hacksaw, allowing it to be trimmed to fit exact ceiling dimensions without wasted material.

The black powder-coated aluminium finish pairs with contemporary, industrial and minimalist interiors and resists corrosion better than painted steel alternatives. The 36mm height and 33mm width give a low-profile appearance once installed, with the track sitting close to the ceiling plane. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments—this is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor canopies.

Frequently Asked

What's the difference between three-phase and single-phase track?

Three-phase track carries three separate electrical circuits within the same rail, allowing spotlights to be assigned to different circuits and controlled independently. Single-phase track has one circuit only, so all fittings turn on and off together. Three-phase is used where zoned control is needed—for example, switching accent lighting separately from general task lighting in the same room.

Can the track be cut to a shorter length?

Yes. The aluminium rail can be cut to custom lengths on-site using a standard hacksaw. Cut edges should be deburred before installation to prevent sharp edges and ensure track heads slide smoothly along the rail.

What fittings are compatible with this track?

The Trinity track accepts Maytoni Trinity three-phase track heads and other track fittings labelled as compatible with three-circuit or three-phase track systems. Single-phase track heads will not fit this rail due to the different conductor configuration.

What accessories are needed for installation?

Surface-fix mounting brackets, end caps, power feed connectors and circuit joiners are sold separately. A basic 2m straight run requires mounting brackets at approximately 1m intervals, a power feed connector at one end, and two end caps to close the rail ends.
