Description

The Trilogy is a 3-light semi-flush ceiling light built around three E27 fittings housed inside a 406mm diameter seeded glass shade, framed in old bronze metalwork. The seeded glass gives the appearance of thousands of tiny bubbles suspended in the glass, scattering light in multiple directions and creating a soft sparkle under the bulb filaments. The bronze frame holds the glass in a flattened oval profile supported by three curved arms from a central ceiling mount.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2-2.6m where a full pendant drop would intrude into headroom, the 302mm fitting height positions the light close to the ceiling while the seeded glass provides diffuse ambient illumination across the room. The fixture suits hallways, bedrooms, living rooms and dining areas in period, industrial and transitional interiors. The three E27 sockets accept any standard Edison screw bulb up to 60W each (bulbs sold separately), with decorative LED filament bulbs showing to full effect through the clear seeded glass.

The old bronze finish is a darkened copper-brown tone with subtle surface variation that mimics aged metalwork. The seeded glass is moulded rather than hand-blown, giving consistent bubble density across the shade surface. The frame construction uses hollow metal tubing rather than solid bar, keeping the overall weight manageable for standard ceiling rose fittings. The three-arm support distributes the load evenly and provides access to the bulbs by removing the lower glass ring during installation or bulb changes.

How is the glass cleaned?

The seeded glass can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth and dried immediately to prevent water marks settling in the textured surface. The lower glass ring typically unclips or unscrews for access, allowing the inner surface to be cleaned without removing the entire fitting from the ceiling.

Can it be installed on a sloped ceiling?

Semi-flush ceiling lights are designed for horizontal ceiling mounting. The three-arm frame and glass orientation assume a level ceiling. Installation on sloped ceilings would require a ceiling canopy adapter or junction box specifically rated for angled mounting, which is not included with this fitting.
