Description

The Tone-3 is a 300mm geometric cage pendant built from a matt black wire frame that forms an asymmetric polyhedron around a single E27 bulb holder. The open cage structure, made from powder-coated steel wire, weighs approximately 800g and suspends on a 700mm black fabric-covered cable from a matching black ceiling rose.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and over breakfast bars, the Tone-3 works best at a height of 700-900mm above the surface it illuminates. The 300mm cage diameter provides enough visual presence without dominating a 1.2-1.6m table, and the open wire construction allows light to pass through the frame in multiple directions rather than pooling downwards only. The E27 fitting accepts LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W, sold separately.

The asymmetric cage geometry gives the pendant a hand-crafted appearance despite being machine-welded — no two faces of the polyhedron are identical, creating visual interest when viewed from different angles. The matt black finish on the steel wire sits comfortably in industrial, Scandi and contemporary interiors, and the open frame means the bulb becomes part of the design. Pairing the Tone-3 with a visible-filament LED or Edison-style bulb emphasises the cage structure.
