Description

The Taulbee is a 914mm oval chandelier built around a horizontal ring of distressed grey wood veneer, suspended from weathered zinc metalwork with decorative scrollwork beneath the timber. Six E14 candle bulbs (sold separately) sit in weathered zinc bobeches spaced around the oval, with metal rods radiating from the central hub to support the structure. The chandelier hangs from an adjustable chain, allowing a drop of 787mm to 2597mm depending on ceiling height.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and hallways where a traditional round chandelier would be too wide or too narrow, the oval shape spreads 914mm along its length and 460mm across its depth. This works over rectangular dining tables of 1800-2400mm, allowing the six candle bulbs to distribute light along the table's length rather than clustering in the centre. The 787mm minimum drop suits ceiling heights from 2.4m upward, with the chain adjustable on installation to set the chandelier 700-900mm above a table surface.

The weathered zinc finish on the metalwork shows deliberate tonal variation and a low-sheen surface that softens the appearance of the scrollwork detailing. The grey wood veneer on the oval ring has a distressed finish with visible grain and darker patches, giving the piece a reclaimed-timber character without the weight of solid wood.
