Description

The Tabby is a flush-mounted ceiling light built around a 216mm clear glass globe with a burnished brass ceiling plate and knurled brass collar. A single E27 bulb sits within the glass sphere, visible through the clear material. The 235mm overall height from ceiling to base of the glass fits rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights without the light hanging down into the space.

Designed for hallways, cloakrooms, entrance halls and low-ceiling bedrooms where a pendant would sit too low, the Tabby mounts directly to a UK ceiling rose and provides ambient light that spreads evenly through the glass sphere. The exposed bulb design means the choice of filament bulb directly affects the character of the light — a vintage Edison squirrel-cage bulb creates a warmer, more decorative look while a standard LED A60 bulb gives cleaner, more functional output.

The burnished brass finish shows a soft, slightly aged patina rather than the high-shine of polished brass. This lower-reflectance finish works well in both traditional and contemporary interiors without dominating the ceiling plane. The clear glass allows full visibility of the bulb and fitting, so internal wiring and the bulb itself become part of the aesthetic rather than being hidden. The 60W maximum rating accepts most standard E27 LED and filament bulbs.
