Description
The Strato is a compact outdoor wall light with an integrated 4W 3000K LED housed in a curved white metal body measuring 120mm wide by 80mm high. The fitting mounts directly to exterior walls and projects two beams — one upward, one downward — through recessed lamp apertures that keep the LED sources shielded from direct view. The IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water spray from any direction, making the Strato suitable for covered porches, undercover walkways, and sheltered entrance areas.
Designed for accent and wayfinding rather than primary area lighting, the Strato works best when spaced at 2-3m intervals along pathways, garage doors, garden walls, or either side of an entrance door. The 4W output provides enough light to mark a route or highlight architectural features without overwhelming adjacent planting or creating glare. The dual-beam configuration means the fitting casts wash light both upward onto the wall surface and downward onto the ground or path below, creating vertical bands of light that work well on rendered, brick, or timber-clad walls.
The white powder-coated metal finish resists corrosion in coastal and high-humidity environments and pairs cleanly with white, grey, and natural timber cladding. The curved body profile softens the geometric look common to many outdoor wall lights and the shallow 37mm projection from the wall means the fitting sits close to the surface without protruding into pathways or doorways. The 3000K colour temperature produces warm white light that sits comfortably in residential garden settings and the CRI of 80 renders colours naturally enough for most outdoor applications.

Frequently Asked
Can the Strato be used in fully exposed outdoor locations?
The IP54 rating protects against dust and water spray, which suits covered porches, soffits, and sheltered entrance areas. For fully exposed locations subject to driving rain or submersion, a higher IP rating (IP65 or above) would be more appropriate.
Does it produce enough light to illuminate a path on its own?
The 4W output is designed for accent and wayfinding rather than primary path lighting. For a typical 1-1.2m wide path, spacing the Strato at 2-3m intervals provides enough light to mark the route. For brighter path lighting, consider pairing with additional fittings or using a higher-wattage model.
Is the LED replaceable?
The 4W LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for long-term use (typical lifespan 25,000+ hours) and is covered by Maytoni's 3-year warranty.
How is it wired?
The Strato requires mains wiring (AC 100-240V) and should be installed by a qualified electrician. The fitting mounts to a standard outdoor back box and the cable enters through the rear of the metal body.
