Description
The Stavanger is a 500mm cylindrical LED bollard built from die-cast aluminium with a graphite powder-coated finish. A transparent polycarbonate band at mid-height houses the integrated 17.5W LED, which casts warm 3000K light both downwards onto the path surface and outwards through the clear lens. The vandal-resistant polycarbonate is impact-rated and UV-stable, designed to hold up under deliberate force and years of sun exposure without yellowing.
Designed for pathways, driveways, garden borders and commercial forecourts, the Stavanger carries an IP65 rating against dust and water ingress, making it suitable for year-round outdoor installation including coastal areas. The die-cast aluminium body resists corrosion in salt air, and Norlys backs the fitting with a 5-year guarantee with no coastal exclusion. The 200mm diameter gives the bollard enough visual presence to mark a path edge without dominating planting beds or narrow walkways.
The integrated LED eliminates the need for bulb replacement over the fitting's expected lifespan, and the 17.5W output provides functional pathway lighting at low running cost. The graphite finish sits between true black and charcoal grey, reading as a neutral dark tone that pairs with stone, brick, timber cladding and rendered facades. The soft light diffusion through the polycarbonate band avoids harsh glare at eye level while still delivering enough downlight for safe footing on steps and path junctions.

Frequently Asked
Is the LED replaceable?
No. The 17.5W LED is integrated into the fitting and designed to last the expected lifespan of the bollard. The unit is not user-serviceable for LED replacement.
Can it be used in coastal areas?
Yes. The Stavanger carries a 5-year guarantee with no coastal exclusion. The die-cast aluminium body and powder-coated finish are specified to resist salt air and humidity in seaside installations.
What installation method does it use?
The bollard requires a hard-wired mains connection buried underground in suitable conduit, terminating at the base of the fitting. A concrete footing or paving base is recommended for stability. Professional installation by a qualified electrician is required.
How much light does it give on a pathway?
The 17.5W LED at 3000K provides functional path lighting suitable for safe navigation at night. For longer pathways, spacing bollards 3-4m apart gives consistent coverage without excessive overlap or dark patches between fittings.
