Description

The Sparkeon is a single spotlight with a white powder-coated die-cast aluminium body and an adjustable head housing a GU10 bulb fitting. The head rotates through 350° and tilts through approximately 90°, allowing the light beam to be directed at walls, worktops, artwork or architectural features. The compact 70mm x 77mm backplate mounts directly to walls or ceilings.

Designed for task and accent lighting in kitchens, home offices, bedrooms and retail environments, the Sparkeon works where specific areas need more light than ambient ceiling fittings provide. The adjustable head makes it suitable for lighting kitchen worktops from a wall position above, highlighting artwork in living rooms, or providing directed reading light beside a bed. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to indoor dry locations only.

The die-cast aluminium construction resists impact and corrosion better than stamped steel alternatives, and the white powder coating provides a hard-wearing surface that cleans with a damp cloth. The 130mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting visibly present without dominating smaller rooms. The GU10 fitting accepts any standard GU10 LED bulb up to the maximum wattage specified in the table below, giving control over colour temperature and beam angle to suit the application.

Is the Sparkeon dimmable?

The fitting itself supports dimming, but dimmer compatibility depends on the GU10 bulb installed. Use a dimmable GU10 LED with a compatible dimmer switch to achieve dimming. Non-dimmable bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.

What bulb does it take?

The Sparkeon takes a standard GU10 bulb, sold separately. Most users fit a GU10 LED between 4-6W with a beam angle of 38-60° depending on whether the spotlight is used for accent lighting (narrower beam) or task lighting (wider beam).

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting has no protection against moisture and must be used in dry indoor locations only. Bathrooms require fittings rated IP44 or higher depending on zone.

How is the head adjusted?

The spotlight head rotates on a ball joint and can be repositioned by hand once the bulb is fitted. The joint holds the head in position under normal use without requiring tools or locking mechanisms.
