Description

The Sparkeon is a 315mm twin bar spotlight with two adjustable GU10 fittings mounted on a white powder-coated die-cast aluminium bar. Each spotlight head rotates 350° on its base and tilts through approximately 90°, allowing light to be directed onto work surfaces, artwork, architectural features or into corners. The fitting accepts standard GU10 LED or halogen bulbs up to the maximum wattage specified (bulbs sold separately).

Designed for kitchens, home offices, workshops and commercial retail spaces where directed task lighting or accent lighting is needed, the Sparkeon mounts onto walls or ceilings via a rectangular backplate. The 125mm projection from the wall positions the light heads forward of cabinetry or shelving, while the white finish integrates cleanly into white or light-painted ceilings and walls. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor environments only.

The die-cast aluminium construction provides a rigid frame that holds the spotlight heads in position once adjusted, without sagging or drifting over time. The powder-coated white finish is hard-wearing and resists yellowing under heat from the bulbs. Each head houses a GU10 lamp holder with spring-loaded contacts, and the twin-head configuration on a single bar allows two zones or surfaces to be lit from one power point and one installation.

The Sparkeon is dimmable when paired with dimmable GU10 bulbs and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer module. From Ideal Lux, Italy, with a 5-year manufacturer warranty.

The Sparkeon takes two GU10 bulbs (sold separately). Most users pair this with 5-7W warm white (2700K-3000K) LED GU10s for task lighting or 4000K daylight LEDs for workshop and studio use. Ensure any bulbs are dimmable if you plan to use a dimmer.

Can the spotlight heads be adjusted after installation?

Yes. Each head rotates 350° on its base and tilts through approximately 90°. Once positioned the die-cast aluminium frame holds the heads firmly without drift, but they can be manually repositioned at any time.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the Sparkeon is only suitable for dry indoor environments. Bathrooms require IP44 or higher for zones near water sources.

Can it be ceiling-mounted as well as wall-mounted?

Yes. The rectangular backplate can be fixed to a wall or ceiling, and the spotlight heads adjusted to direct light downwards, across, or at an angle depending on the mounting position.
