Description

The Spark Slim is a 35cm circular LED flush ceiling light with a white powder-coated aluminium frame and an integrated 18W LED module running at 3000K warm white. The 45mm profile sits tight to the ceiling, making it suited to rooms with ceiling heights under 2.3m where a pendant or semi-flush would hang too low.

Designed for hallways, bathrooms, utility rooms and compact bedrooms, the Spark Slim provides even ceiling-to-floor illumination without protruding into the space. The IP40 rating makes it suitable for dry indoor areas — not for direct shower zones (Zone 1/2), but acceptable in Zone 3 bathroom areas outside the immediate splash radius. The light mounts directly to a standard UK ceiling rose or junction box and connects to mains 230V.

The white finish on the aluminium frame is a clean matt powder coat that resists yellowing over time and pairs with both white ceilings and off-white or grey tones. The LED is integrated behind a diffuser panel that spreads the 18W output evenly across the 35cm diameter, avoiding the hot-spot effect of exposed bulb fittings. The non-dimmable driver keeps the installation simple and the unit price lower than dimmable equivalents.

Is the Spark Slim suitable for bathrooms?

The IP40 rating allows use in Zone 3 bathroom areas (60cm or more from the edge of the bath or shower tray). It is not rated for direct shower zones (Zone 1/2) where higher IP ratings are required.

Can the LED be replaced when it fails?

The LED is integrated into the unit and cannot be replaced separately. Ideal Lux backs the fitting with a 5-year warranty covering LED failure. Expected LED lifespan is 25,000+ hours (approximately 10 years at 7 hours daily use).

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver is non-dimmable. Connecting the fitting to a dimmer switch may cause flickering or driver failure.

What ceiling height is it suited to?

The 45mm depth makes the Spark Slim ideal for low ceilings (under 2.3m) and for flush-mounting in rooms where headroom is limited, such as loft conversions, hallways and small bathrooms.
