The Spark is a 60cm diameter LED flush ceiling light with an integrated 53W 4000K LED module housed within a white powder-coated aluminium circular base. The light sits just 45mm from the ceiling once fitted, making it one of the slimmest large-format flush fittings available and particularly suited to rooms with ceiling heights under 2.4m where a pendant or semi-flush would feel too low.

Designed for living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens and hallways requiring broad even coverage from a single fitting, the 60cm diameter delivers general illumination across approximately 15-20 square metres depending on ceiling height and room layout. The IP40 rating provides dust and solid object protection, making the fitting suitable for bathrooms, utility rooms and covered outdoor porches where direct water spray is not a risk. The 4000K colour temperature produces a neutral white light that sits between the warmth of 3000K residential lighting and the cooler tone of 5000K commercial environments.

The white powder-coated finish on the aluminium base resists yellowing and surface wear better than painted plastic alternatives, while the textured diffuser panel distributes light evenly without creating a central hotspot. At 53W the LED output is equivalent to a traditional 300W+ incandescent fitting but draws significantly less current and generates minimal heat, making it safe for installation directly below plasterboard or timber joists. Can this be used in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP40 rating provides sufficient protection for bathroom installation outside zones 0, 1 and 2 (i.e. more than 60cm away from a bath or shower). It is not suitable for installation directly above a shower cubicle or bath.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 45mm profile makes this fitting suitable for any ceiling height. It works particularly well in rooms with ceiling heights between 2.2m and 2.6m where deeper semi-flush or pendant fittings would feel too low or intrusive.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 53W LED module is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of operation, equivalent to 10-15 years of typical household use before any significant light degradation occurs.

What does 4000K colour temperature look like?

4000K is a neutral white, midway between the warm white (2700-3000K) typically used in living rooms and the cool white (5000K+) used in commercial offices. It provides clear visibility without the yellow cast of warm white or the blue-tinted harshness of daylight bulbs.
