Description

The Sparion is a 14mm diameter cable holder in brushed copper finish, designed to support and organise pendant light cables at the ceiling. The cylindrical metal body fits flush against the ceiling rose or mounting point, with a circular aperture on one side that allows the cable to exit at an angle or curve towards the pendant fitting below.

Used primarily for pendant lighting installations where the cable needs to be dressed or routed away from the vertical drop — common in off-centre ceiling roses, sloped ceilings, or multi-pendant arrangements where cables need to fan out from a single mounting point. The holder clips or screws to the ceiling surface, with the cable passing through the side aperture rather than dropping straight down through the centre.

The copper finish has a brushed texture that softens reflections and works in both industrial and warm contemporary interiors. The 14mm diameter suits most standard pendant cables and flex, including fabric-covered braided cable and PVC-sheathed twin-and-earth flex up to 3-core 1.5mm². The metal construction provides enough rigidity to hold the cable route under its own weight without sagging.

Frequently Asked

What size cable does it take?

The 14mm aperture suits most standard pendant flex, including 2-core and 3-core cable up to 1.5mm² cross-section, and fabric-covered braided cable up to 10mm outer diameter.

How is it fixed to the ceiling?

The holder typically fixes with small screws or clips to the ceiling surface adjacent to the ceiling rose. Installation method depends on ceiling type — plasterboard ceilings may need a small rawlplug, while solid ceilings accept a direct screw fix.

Can it be used with multiple pendants from one ceiling point?

Yes. The holder is often used in multi-pendant installations where several cables need to exit from a single ceiling rose at different angles, allowing the cables to fan out rather than bunch together.
