Description

The Solyra is a 23cm cage pendant light built from curved metal ribs finished in brown paint with a subtle metallic sheen. The ribs form an onion-shaped cage around a single E27 bulb holder, leaving the bulb visible through the gaps. A fabric-covered cable runs from the canopy through the top of the cage, adding textile warmth against the metal structure.

Designed for kitchens, breakfast bars, small dining tables and hallways, the compact 23cm diameter keeps the fitting proportionate to smaller spaces without dominating the ceiling plane. The 230mm overall height from canopy to base allows the pendant to sit comfortably above worktops or tables without requiring excessive ceiling height. The brown finish pairs with warm timber, terracotta, natural stone and neutral backdrops common in traditional and transitional interiors.

The metallic effect in the brown paint catches ambient light and changes tone depending on viewing angle and room lighting conditions, giving the cage a subtle iridescence that adds visual interest when the pendant is off as well as on. The open cage structure allows most of the light from the bulb to pass into the room while the ribs cast curved shadow patterns onto nearby surfaces. The fitting carries an IP20 rating for indoor dry-location use and is dimmable when paired with a compatible E27 LED bulb and dimmer switch.

Is the Solyra dimmable?

The fitting itself is dimmable-compatible. You will need to use a dimmable E27 LED bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch. Most modern LED dimmers work well with quality LED bulbs rated for dimming.

The Solyra takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. For this style of cage pendant most users choose a visible filament LED bulb in warm white (2700K) to show through the metallic brown ribs.
