Description

The Solix is a 90mm recessed LED downlight with an integrated 7W 3000K LED behind an opal polycarbonate diffuser. The fixed fitting sits flush to the ceiling once installed, housed in a white painted extruded aluminium body. The non-dimmable SMD LED provides 3000K warm white light suitable for general ambient illumination in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and commercial interiors.

Designed for ceiling installation where recessed mounting is possible, the Solix requires a cut-out diameter of 90mm and sufficient ceiling void depth to accommodate the driver and housing assembly. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations only — it is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor canopies or areas subject to moisture ingress. The flush-mounted profile maintains a minimal ceiling presence with no visible downstand below the ceiling plane.

The opal polycarbonate diffuser spreads the LED output evenly across the aperture, reducing hot-spotting and glare compared to open reflector designs. The white painted aluminium finish blends into white and light-toned ceilings, making the fitting visually discrete when switched off. The SMD LED array is integrated and non-replaceable, with the entire fitting typically replaced at end-of-life after the LED's rated operating hours.

Can the LED be replaced?
