Description

The Solenia is a slimline LED pendant light from Ideal Lux, built around a narrow 60mm conical shade in brushed nickel with an integrated 7W LED emitting warm 3000K light. The pendant tapers from a 60mm diameter cylindrical stem down to a small conical diffuser at the base, creating a focused downlight beam suited to task lighting or accent illumination.

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, hallway runs and counter positions where multiple pendants are grouped in a line, the Solenia's narrow profile allows close spacing without visual clutter. The 1600mm black PVC cable is adjustable during installation, so the pendant can be set anywhere from 400mm to the full drop depending on ceiling height and the surface being lit. The 60mm footprint at the ceiling means the pendant can be fitted to standard ceiling roses or ceiling plates.

The brushed nickel finish on the metal body provides a mid-tone metallic surface that sits between polished chrome and darker gun-metal finishes, pairing well with stainless steel appliances, grey worktops and cool-toned contemporary interiors. The integrated LED is non-replaceable but carries a 5-year warranty and is rated for approximately 30,000 hours at 3000K, which equates to around 10 years of typical domestic use at 8 hours per day. The IP20 rating limits the pendant to dry indoor locations only.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 1600mm cable allows the pendant to be adjusted during installation. For use over a kitchen island or breakfast bar, the pendant typically hangs 700-900mm above the worktop, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above.

Can multiple Solenias be grouped together?

Yes. The narrow 60mm diameter makes the Solenia well-suited to being installed in groups of three, five or more along a kitchen island or hallway run, with spacing of 300-500mm between each pendant depending on the length of the surface being lit.
