Description

The Solarium is a compact outdoor LED spotlight with a cylindrical dark grey anodised aluminium body housing an integrated 5.5W LED emitting 4000K neutral white light. The head tilts on a bracket mount, allowing the beam to be directed upward onto wall surfaces, downward onto pathways, or outward to highlight architectural features or planting.

Designed for ground mounting, wall mounting or spiking into soil, the Solarium suits facade lighting, garden borders, driveways and pathways where focused accent lighting is needed rather than broad area illumination. The 4000K colour temperature produces a crisp neutral white that renders colours accurately without the warmth of 3000K or the clinical tone of 5000K and above. The IP68 rating means the spotlight can be fully submerged up to 1m depth, making it suitable for use in water features, pond edges or areas prone to seasonal flooding.

The anodised and powder-coated dark grey finish provides corrosion resistance in coastal, industrial and urban environments where airborne salts and pollutants accelerate metal degradation. At 86mm height and 50mm width the spotlight has a low profile that sits close to ground level or blends into exterior walls without dominating the visual field. An optional anti-glare visor (sold separately) can be fitted to the head to prevent upward light spill and concentrate the beam into a tighter footprint where required by planning restrictions or dark-sky considerations.

The integrated LED is non-replaceable and rated for approximately 30,000 hours of operation, equivalent to around 10 years at 8 hours per night. The spotlight runs on mains voltage and requires a weatherproof IP-rated driver, typically installed inside a building or in a dedicated weatherproof enclosure. The high colour rendering index typical of Ideal Lux LED fittings (CRI >80) preserves the natural appearance of foliage, stonework and painted surfaces under illumination.

Yes. The IP68 rating certifies protection against continuous submersion up to 1m depth, making it suitable for pond edges, water features and areas prone to flooding. Ensure all cable connections are also IP68-rated and that the driver is located in a dry, ventilated enclosure.

What mounting options are available?

The bracket can be fixed to a wall or ground surface using two screw fixings, or the spotlight can be mounted on a ground spike (sold separately) for installation into soil or gravel. The head tilts on the bracket to direct the beam where needed.
