Description
The Solarium is a 10W LED outdoor spotlight built from anodised and powder-coated aluminium in a black finish, housing an integrated 4000K LED rated IP68 for full dust and water immersion protection. The cylindrical spotlight head tilts on a locking bracket, allowing the beam to be angled from vertical to near-horizontal once installed.
Designed for ground spike or ceiling mount installation, the Solarium suits architectural uplighting, pathway marking, garden bed highlighting and facade washing in residential and commercial outdoor settings. The 4000K colour temperature produces a neutral white light that renders colours accurately without the warmth of 3000K or the clinical tone of 5000-6000K, making it suitable for functional zones like driveways, entrances and external staircases where visibility matters more than atmosphere. The spike mount pushes directly into soil or gravel; the ceiling mount fixes to soffits, canopies and overhangs.
The spotlight body measures 75mm wide by 110mm tall with a 125mm projection from the mounting bracket, giving a compact profile that sits low when spike-mounted. An optional anti-glare visor clips onto the head to reduce light scatter and tighten the beam, improving control in situations where spill light onto neighbouring properties is a concern. The aluminium construction dissipates LED heat passively without requiring vents, preserving the IP68 seal. The integrated LED delivers approximately 900 lumens and is rated for 30,000 hours of operation.

Frequently Asked
What does IP68 mean in practice?
IP68 is the highest ingress protection rating for outdoor lighting. The '6' confirms the fitting is fully dust-tight, and the '8' confirms it can withstand continuous immersion in water beyond 1m depth. This makes the Solarium suitable for installation in areas subject to flooding, heavy rain, or ground-level pooling.
Can the spotlight be dimmed?
No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. The output is fixed at 10W and approximately 900 lumens.
What's the difference between spike and ceiling mount?
Spike mount pushes directly into soil, gravel or soft ground for uplighting trees, facades and garden features. Ceiling mount fixes to horizontal or angled surfaces like soffits, canopies and overhangs for downlighting entrances, pathways and driveways. Both use the same spotlight head with adjustable tilt.
Is the anti-glare visor included?
The visor is sold separately as an optional accessory. It clips onto the spotlight head to reduce light scatter and tighten the beam, useful where precise control is needed or where spill light onto neighbouring properties must be minimised.
