Description

The Solarae is a 15cm diameter blown glass pendant light with an antique brass metal frame. A single G4 bulb sits inside the clear glass sphere, casting direct light through the transparent diffuser while the brass cage structure adds visual interest and softens the overall outline. The 2m cable allows the pendant to hang at varying heights depending on ceiling height and application.

Designed for clustered installations over kitchen islands, dining peninsulas or in hallways with double-height ceilings, the Solarae also works as a single bedside pendant where a low-wattage G4 bulb provides task reading light without ceiling glare. The 15cm diameter keeps the pendant compact enough to hang in multiples without overcrowding, typically spaced 400-600mm apart when used in a linear row of three or five. The IP20 rating limits use to dry interior locations away from bathroom zones.

The antique brass finish shows a warmer, darker patina than polished brass, with tonal variation across the frame that pairs well with aged metals, terracotta, warm timber and heritage colour schemes. The blown glass sphere is hand-formed, so minor variations in thickness and subtle surface waves are characteristic of the manufacturing process rather than defects. At 280mm total height (excluding cable), the fitting projects approximately 430mm from the ceiling when hung at minimum drop.
