The Solarae is a 6-light cluster pendant built around six clear blown glass globes suspended from a 650mm polished chrome ceiling canopy on black fabric cables. Each globe houses a G4 bi-pin bulb (sold separately), with the bulb positioned centrally inside the transparent glass sphere. The globes vary in size across the cluster, ranging from approximately 120mm to 200mm in diameter, creating a staggered visual composition when viewed from below.

Designed for spaces with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Solarae works over dining tables, in double-height entrance halls, and above kitchen islands where the cluster arrangement provides both ambient and decorative light. The 2000mm cable length allows the drop to be adjusted during installation to suit the room height and table position. The polished chrome canopy conceals the ceiling rose and cable entry points, giving a clean flush-mount appearance against the ceiling plane.

The clear glass globes mean the G4 bulb filament or LED capsule is visible inside each sphere, so bulb choice directly affects the aesthetic — traditional halogen capsules give a bright point-source appearance, while LED G4 capsules with frosted or filament-style elements soften the look. The polished chrome finish on the canopy and suspension hardware reflects light back into the room and pairs with both cool-toned contemporary interiors and warmer schemes where chrome acts as a neutral metallic. The IP20 rating limits the Solarae to dry indoor locations only.

Each glass globe is individually hand-blown, so minor variations in size, thickness and bubble patterns occur between pieces. The black fabric cables run inside the chrome canopy to separate electrical connections for each lamp, meaning if one G4 bulb fails the other five remain lit. The 650mm canopy diameter requires a ceiling area free from joists or obstructions during installation to accommodate the fixing points.
