Description

The Solana is a 100mm table lamp built around a smoked Pyrex glass sphere set on a cylindrical matt black metal base. A single G9 bulb inside the sphere casts light through the tinted glass, creating a soft ambient glow rather than directed task light. The metal base is approximately 50mm tall and houses the E14-to-G9 lampholder, with a 1.7m black cable running from the rear.

Designed for bedside tables, sideboards and console tables in living rooms, hallways and bedrooms, the Solana works as accent lighting rather than primary room illumination. The compact footprint suits smaller surfaces where a traditional table lamp shade would be too wide. The smoked glass reduces glare when the lamp is positioned below eye level, making it comfortable for use next to a bed or sofa.

The matt black finish on the metal base absorbs reflections and pairs with both warm and cool interior tones. The smoked Pyrex sphere is hand-blown with a slight grey-brown tint that varies between individual pieces depending on the density of the tint layer. At 100mm diameter the sphere is roughly the size of a small grapefruit, giving the lamp visible presence without dominating a narrow surface.
