Description

The Solana is a 4-light floor lamp built around a vertical matt black metal stem supporting four smoked Pyrex glass globes. Each globe houses a G9 bulb (sold separately), and the globes are positioned at staggered heights along the stem to cast light in multiple directions. The smoked glass diffuses the light from the bulbs while adding a warm amber-grey tonal quality to the output.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and reading corners where ambient rather than task lighting is needed, the Solana occupies a 320mm x 295mm footprint and stands approximately 1500-1700mm tall. The vertical arrangement allows the lamp to sit in corners or behind sofas without requiring wide floor clearance, and the four light sources provide enough combined output to act as the main ambient source in a 4m x 4m room when paired with 4W-6W G9 LEDs. The 3m cable reaches most UK wall sockets without an extension lead.

The matt black finish on the metal frame absorbs rather than reflects light, keeping visual focus on the glass globes themselves. The smoked Pyrex glass is hand-blown, so each globe shows slight variation in wall thickness and tonal depth. The glass is heat-resistant and designed to handle the output of G9 halogen or LED bulbs without discolouration. The lamp is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only and carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux.
