Description

The Sky-3 is a 240mm diameter clear glass pendant light with a hand-blown glass shade suspended from a black painted metal frame and canopy. The E27 bulb fitting sits inside the glass bell, with the clear glass acting as the diffuser and allowing full visibility of the bulb itself, making this pendant well-suited to decorative filament or globe-style LED bulbs (sold separately).

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and bar areas where individual pendants or a row of multiple Sky-3s can provide both task and ambient light, the 340mm overall height works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher. The pendant typically hangs 700-900mm above a worktop or table depending on ceiling height and personal preference. The dimmable fitting allows light levels to be adjusted from full brightness for meal preparation to lower settings for evening dining.

The black metal frame and canopy provide structural contrast against the clear glass, giving the pendant a defined silhouette when viewed from the side. The hand-blown glass manufacturing process means subtle variations in thickness and slight ripples may be visible in the glass when backlit, adding individuality to each piece. The IP20 rating limits the Sky-3 to dry indoor environments — it is not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor installations.

Does this pendant come with a bulb?

No. The Sky-3 takes a standard E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately). The clear glass shade works best with decorative filament LED bulbs, globe-style bulbs or vintage-reproduction bulbs where the bulb itself becomes part of the design.

Is the Sky-3 dimmable?

Yes. The fitting is rated as dimmable, but dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb you choose. LED bulbs must be marked as dimmable to work with dimmer switches — check the bulb specification before pairing with a dimmer.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Sky-3 is only suitable for dry indoor environments. Bathrooms require IP44 or higher in zones near water sources.

How is the glass cleaned?

Switch off and allow the bulb to cool fully before cleaning. Wipe the glass with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal fittings or allowing water to run into the lampholder.
