Description

The Sky-1 is a 280mm clear glass pendant light with a hand-blown glass dome and a black painted metal frame. A single E27 bulb sits inside the dome (sold separately), with the clear glass acting as both protection and diffuser, allowing the full bulb filament or LED array to remain visible when lit.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and worktop areas, the Sky-1 works where directional downlight is needed without blocking sightlines across the room. The 150mm height from canopy to base of the dome keeps the fitting compact enough for standard 2.4m ceiling heights, while the 280mm diameter provides a meaningful spread of light over a 900-1200mm surface below. The IP20 rating limits the Sky-1 to dry indoor areas only.

Each glass dome is individually blown by hand, so minor variations in thickness and slight optical distortions are normal and add character to the piece rather than indicating a defect. The black painted metal frame provides a clean edge against white or pale ceilings and pairs well with both warm timber kitchens and cooler grey or white schemes. The pendant is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer and dimmable bulb.

The Sky-1 takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this pendant with a warm-white LED filament bulb or a vintage-style squirrel-cage filament to take advantage of the clear glass and visible bulb design.

Yes. The fitting itself is dimmable, but dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb chosen. Pair with a dimmable LED or halogen bulb and a compatible trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmer for smooth dimming performance.

How is the glass cleaned?

Switch off the power and allow the bulb to cool. Wipe the glass dome with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the fitting or allowing water to reach the metal frame or electrical components.
