Description

The Simply is an adjustable wall light from Ideal Lux with an articulated double-jointed arm and a conical metal shade finished in antique brass. The shade measures 140mm across at the opening and is enamelled white on the inside to reflect light downwards and outwards. The arm extends to a maximum projection of 230mm from the wall and can be angled to direct the E27 bulb output where needed.

Designed for task lighting beside beds, above reading chairs, and in hallways where directed light is more useful than ambient wash, the Simply fits standard UK back boxes and can be wired to a wall switch or a pull cord. The double joint allows both vertical tilt and horizontal swing, so the light can be positioned over a book, angled onto a bedside table, or swung aside when not in use. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only.

The antique brass finish shows a brushed texture with darker patina in the recesses of the joints and shade rim, giving the fitting a workshop or vintage industrial character without the heaviness of cast iron or raw steel. The shade opening is lined with a rolled brass edge that prevents sharp contact and defines the aperture cleanly. The fitting accepts any standard E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb up to the rated wattage (see Specification), and the light output is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulb.
