Description

The Shimmer is a square recessed downlight with a chrome finish outer trim and a black baffle insert around a single GU10 fitting. The 90mm square faceplate sits flush with the ceiling once installed, with a 47mm recessed depth behind the plasterboard. The black baffle inside the chrome frame reduces glare and directs light downward in a controlled beam.

Designed for residential and commercial spaces where integrated ceiling lighting is needed, the Shimmer suits kitchens, bathrooms, hallways, retail environments and office ceilings. The IP20 rating makes it suitable for dry indoor locations only. The chrome trim reflects ambient light during the day, contributing to the overall brightness of the room, while the recessed position keeps the fitting visually unobtrusive.

The downlight accepts any GU10 LED, halogen or energy-saving bulb up to the manufacturer's maximum wattage (bulb sold separately), and is compatible with dimmer switches when paired with a dimmable GU10 bulb and appropriate dimmer. The metal construction provides heat dissipation for higher-wattage bulbs and durability in high-traffic ceiling installations. Multiple Shimmer downlights are often installed in a grid or linear pattern to achieve even room illumination.
