Description

The Share is an 85mm diameter recessed swivel downlight with a deep-set GU10 bulb fitting housed inside a matt black aluminium trim. The recessed body sits flush with the ceiling surface once installed, while the internal reflector can be tilted up to 25° from vertical to direct light onto specific areas of the room below.

Designed for residential and commercial installations where directed accent lighting is needed without surface-mounted fittings, the Share suits hallways, alcove lighting, feature wall illumination, and retail display highlighting. The 37mm fitting depth requires a minimum ceiling void of 50mm above the plasterboard to accommodate the body and lamp assembly. The matt black finish provides contrast against white ceilings and sits cleanly within darker colour schemes.

The aluminium construction carries IP20 rating, limiting use to internal dry environments — the Share is not rated for bathrooms or outdoor use. The GU10 fitting accepts standard mains-voltage bulbs up to 15W (sold separately), allowing flexibility to choose LED, halogen or energy-saving variants depending on desired colour temperature and beam spread. The 25° swivel range is set during installation and does not adjust from below once the ceiling is finished.

The Share takes a standard GU10 mains-voltage bulb up to 15W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED GU10 between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for accent or task lighting.

Can the swivel angle be adjusted after installation?

The reflector swivels up to 25° from vertical and is set during fitting. Once the ceiling is finished, the angle cannot be adjusted from below without removing the trim. Plan the beam direction before final installation.

What ceiling void depth is needed?

The fitting depth is 37mm, but a minimum ceiling void of 50mm above the plasterboard is recommended to accommodate the body, lamp assembly and wiring with adequate clearance.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating limits use to dry internal environments only. Bathrooms require IP44 or IP65 rated fittings depending on zone location.
