Description

The Satin is a 600mm diameter drum pendant light with a white fabric shade stretched over a PVC frame, suspended from a chrome canopy on adjustable cables. Six E27 bulb holders sit inside the drum, with light exiting downwards through a sandblasted glass diffuser that evens out the spread and reduces glare from bare bulbs.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Satin provides ambient light across a 2-3m diameter surface when hung 700-900mm above the worktop or table. The cable drop is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to be set lower over a dining table or raised in a double-height entrance hall. The chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the cables conceal the electrical run.

The white fabric shade diffuses light laterally as well as downwards, softening the overall effect compared to metal drum shades and reducing the contrast between the lit area directly below and the surrounding room. The sandblasted glass diffuser on the base of the drum hides the internal bulb arrangement when viewed from below, presenting as a single even light source rather than six individual bulbs. The IP20 rating restricts the fitting to dry indoor locations only.
