Row LED Outdoor Wall Light 9W 3000K - Graphite with PIR Sensor

The Maytoni Row is a 161mm graphite aluminium outdoor wall light with an integrated 9W 3000K LED, a PIR motion sensor below the diffuser, and a white frosted plastic panel designed to accept stick-on house numbers or custom markings. The light mounts vertically on exterior walls and provides both ambient wash light upwards and downwards plus motion-triggered illumination for doorways, porches and side entrances.

Designed for residential front doors, side gates and garage entrances, the Row combines house identification with functional security lighting. The frosted diffuser comes with a set of adhesive digits allowing the light to double as an illuminated house number, making properties easier to locate at night. The PIR sensor beneath the diffuser detects movement within approximately 5-8m and automatically switches the light to full output, then dims or switches off after a preset delay once movement stops.

The IP44 rating protects the internal LED and wiring from rain splashes and dust ingress, making the Row suitable for installation under eaves, porch canopies or directly on exterior walls exposed to weather. The graphite powder-coated aluminium casing resists corrosion in coastal and urban environments, while the 59mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting unobtrusive on narrow porches. The 9W LED output provides approximately 700-800 lumens at 3000K warm white, sufficient to illuminate a 2-3m radius around a doorway without creating harsh glare.

The frosted plastic diffuser spreads light evenly across the panel surface, preventing hot spots and making the house number digits legible from the street. The aluminium back plate mounts to standard UK exterior junction boxes and the mains connection is sealed behind a gasketed access panel on the rear of the fitting.

How does the PIR motion sensor work?

The PIR sensor beneath the diffuser detects movement within approximately 5-8m and automatically increases the light output to full brightness. Once movement stops, the light dims or switches off after a preset delay. The exact detection range and timer settings depend on the sensor configuration — see the product manual for adjustment details.

How are house numbers applied to the diffuser?

The frosted plastic diffuser accepts adhesive digits or vinyl lettering. A set of stick-on digits is included with the light. Apply the numbers to the exterior face of the diffuser before or after installation — the backlit panel makes them visible from the street at night.

Can it be installed in fully exposed locations?

The IP44 rating protects against rain splashes and dust, making the Row suitable for installation under eaves, porch canopies or on walls with some overhead protection. For fully exposed locations subject to driving rain or coastal spray, a higher IP rating (IP54 or IP65) would be more appropriate.

Is the LED replaceable?

The 9W LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of operation, which translates to 10-15 years of typical residential use. If the LED fails within the warranty period, the entire unit would be replaced under warranty.
