Description
The Rove-4 is a 120mm diameter concrete pendant light with a grey cement shade and a matt black metal canopy. The shade is cast from real cement, giving it a textured, raw-industrial surface that shows minor tonal variation between individual pieces. A single GU10 bulb (sold separately) fits into the downward-facing socket inside the shade, directing focused light downwards with the concrete acting as a solid, opaque housing.
Designed for kitchens, hallways, bedrooms and restaurant or café settings where industrial or Scandinavian minimalist styling applies, the Rove-4 is typically installed in clusters of three or five pendants rather than as a solo fitting. The 12m fabric-covered black cable allows installation over kitchen islands in rooms with ceiling heights up to 3.5m without visible cable slack. Six fixing hooks are supplied with the pendant, enabling the cable to be routed and looped before it reaches the canopy, which is particularly useful in commercial installations where cable runs cross exposed ceiling truss or conduit.
The cement shade weighs approximately 450g and the small 120mm diameter makes it less visually dominant than larger concrete pendants, allowing it to be grouped without overwhelming smaller rooms. The grey cement finish pairs with matt black metalwork, bare concrete surfaces, exposed brick and mid-tone timber. The GU10 fitting accepts LED, halogen or CFL bulbs up to 50W, giving control over light colour and brightness. IP20 rating limits use to dry interior spaces only.

Frequently Asked
Is the Rove-4 dimmable?
Yes, the fitting itself is dimmable-compatible. Dimmer performance depends on the specific GU10 bulb installed — use a dimmable LED or halogen GU10 and pair it with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer for smooth dimming without flicker.
What bulb does it take?
The Rove-4 takes a standard GU10 (twist-and-lock) bulb up to 50W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users install a warm-white LED GU10 between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for kitchen or dining installations.
Can the 12m cable be shortened?
The cable is supplied at 12m to allow installation in high-ceiling or commercial spaces. It can be shortened by a qualified electrician during installation if the full length is not needed, or looped and secured using the six supplied fixing hooks.
Does the concrete shade vary between pieces?
Yes. Each shade is cast from cement, so minor tonal variation, surface texture differences and occasional small air bubbles are normal. This is characteristic of cast concrete, not a defect.
