Description

The Rove-3 is a single concrete pendant light with a 140mm diameter cast concrete diffuser in grey, suspended on a matt black fabric cable from a matt black ceiling canopy. The pendant takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately) and directs light downward through the open bottom of the concrete shade, providing focused task lighting with a defined pool of illumination below.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables, bar counters and office desks, the Rove-3 works where directed downlight is needed over a specific surface. The 2000mm cable length allows the pendant to be shortened on installation to suit ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m, with the fitting typically hung 700-900mm above a worktop or dining table to concentrate light without glare at eye level. Multiple Rove-3 pendants can be installed in a row over longer islands or tables.

The concrete diffuser is cast as a solid piece with a raw, unpolished surface finish that shows the natural texture and tonal variation of the concrete mix. This gives each pendant a slightly different appearance — minor surface marks, small air bubbles and colour variation between pieces are inherent to the material and casting process. The 250mm overall height and 140mm width give the pendant a compact presence that suits smaller rooms and lower ceilings without overwhelming the space. The matt black cable and canopy provide a neutral backdrop that allows the grey concrete to read as the focal material.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating means the Rove-3 is suitable only for dry indoor locations. It cannot be used in bathrooms or other areas where moisture or water spray is present.
