Description

The Rove-1 is a concrete pendant light with a grey-finished shade measuring 150mm in diameter and 250mm in height, suspended on a 2000mm black fabric cable. The shade is cast from cement, giving it a raw, textured surface with visible aggregate and tonal variation between individual pieces. A single E27 bulb fitting inside directs light downwards through the open base of the shade.

Designed for task and accent lighting over kitchen islands, dining tables, breakfast bars and work surfaces, the Rove-1 suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or above where the 2000mm cable can be shortened during installation to position the shade 700-900mm above the surface below. The concrete construction gives the fitting a substantial weight and presence without appearing oversized in typical 3-4m kitchen or dining spaces. The IP20 rating limits the Rove-1 to dry indoor locations only.

Each concrete shade shows different surface textures, small air pockets and tonal shifts depending on how the cement set in the mould, so no two Rove-1 pendants look identical. The grey finish is a mid-tone cement colour that sits between warm and cool neutrals, pairing comfortably with both industrial-style interiors and softer contemporary schemes. The black fabric cable runs through the centre of the cylindrical neck and conceals the electrical wiring up to the ceiling rose.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating limits the Rove-1 to dry indoor locations only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens with heavy steam exposure, or any location where moisture is present.
