Description

The Maytoni DL058 is a 7W LED recessed downlight with a trimless design that sits flush with plasterboard ceilings once plastered in. The black aluminium housing features a deep-set reflector that directs a focused beam of 3000K warm white light downward, minimising spill and reducing glare when viewed from typical standing or seated positions. The 54mm aperture provides a defined circle of light against the ceiling plane.

Designed for plaster-in installation, the downlight uses a perforated metal mounting plate that clips into the ceiling void before the plasterboard is sealed and finished around the aperture. This gives a flush, uninterrupted ceiling surface with no visible trim ring or bezel once installed. The black finish inside the aperture provides contrast against white or light-coloured ceilings and works across both residential and commercial projects where a minimal ceiling profile is required.

The aluminium construction acts as a passive heatsink for the integrated 7W LED, which runs on 220-240V AC mains without an external driver. The 3000K colour temperature produces a warm white light output suited to living rooms, hallways, hotel corridors and retail fitting rooms where a welcoming tone is preferred over cooler daylight white. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments.

Can this be installed after the ceiling is finished?
