RekorHD 8 Channel 2MP CCTV Kit with 4 Dome Cameras & 2TB DVR - Grey

The RekorHD 8-channel CCTV kit combines an 8-channel DVR with a pre-installed 2TB hard drive, four 2MP dome cameras, connection cables and a power supply. The DVR records in 1080p resolution using H.265 video compression, which reduces file sizes and extends storage capacity compared to older H.264 systems. Each dome camera is IP66-rated for outdoor use and includes infrared LEDs for night vision up to 30m.

Designed for residential and small commercial properties, the kit supports intelligent detection functions including perimeter intrusion alerts and line crossing detection, which reduce false motion triggers from passing shadows or weather. The DVR operates continuously, on a schedule, or in motion-detection mode, and allows simultaneous playback, recording and remote viewing without interrupting any function. Remote access is available through the RekorHD mobile app for Android and iOS, or via PC client software.

The four dome cameras use 3.6mm fixed lenses, providing a field of view suited to monitoring driveways, building perimeters, car parks and entrance points within approximately 10-15m of the camera position. The grey finish on the camera housings and DVR casing blends into rendered walls, fascia boards and commercial exteriors. The 8-channel DVR accepts up to four additional cameras if coverage needs to expand, and the 2TB hard drive typically stores 15-30 days of continuous 1080p footage depending on activity levels and compression settings.

The DVR interface is mouse-driven, with USB backup for transferring evidence clips to external drives. All four cameras, the DVR, cables and the system power supply are included in the kit, so no additional components are required for a basic four-camera installation beyond the mounting hardware and a display for initial setup.

What's the storage capacity and how long does footage last?

The kit includes a 2TB pre-installed hard drive. Recording duration depends on compression settings and activity levels, but typically stores 15-30 days of continuous 1080p footage across four cameras. H.265 compression extends this compared to older H.264 systems by approximately 40-50%.

Can I add more cameras later?

Yes. The DVR is an 8-channel unit, so it accepts up to four additional cameras beyond the four included in this kit. Additional RekorHD 2MP dome or bullet cameras can be purchased separately and connected to the spare channels.

What is the night vision range?

Each dome camera includes infrared LEDs providing night vision up to 30m in complete darkness. The infrared illumination is invisible to the human eye but allows the camera to record monochrome footage when ambient light drops below usable levels.

How is remote viewing set up?
