Description

The RekorHD 8-channel analogue DVR records up to eight 2MP (1080p) cameras simultaneously to a pre-installed 2TB hard drive, using H.265 video compression to maximise storage efficiency. The unit supports continuous, scheduled and motion-triggered recording modes, with intelligent perimeter intrusion detection and line-crossing detection to reduce false alerts from irrelevant movement.

Designed for residential, small business and light commercial security installations, the DVR connects to standard analogue CCTV cameras via BNC inputs and outputs to a monitor or TV via HDMI at up to 4K resolution. Remote monitoring is available through Android and iOS apps or PC software, allowing live viewing, playback and configuration from off-site. The mouse-driven user menu simplifies setup without requiring a keyboard.

The unit can play back recorded footage, record new footage and stream live remote views simultaneously without dropping frames or interrupting storage. USB backup allows footage to be exported to a flash drive for evidence transfer or archival. The 2TB drive provides approximately 30-45 days of continuous recording from eight 2MP cameras depending on scene complexity and compression settings, or significantly longer when motion-only recording is configured.

Frequently Asked

How many cameras can this DVR support?

The unit supports up to eight analogue cameras connected via BNC inputs. All eight channels can record simultaneously at 2MP resolution.

How long does 2TB of storage last?

With H.265 compression and eight 2MP cameras recording continuously, the 2TB drive typically provides 30-45 days of storage depending on scene complexity and motion levels. Motion-only recording extends this significantly.

Can I view footage remotely?

Yes. The DVR supports remote viewing via dedicated Android and iOS apps, or PC software. Remote access requires the DVR to be connected to your router and configured with port forwarding or cloud services depending on your network setup.

What's the difference between perimeter intrusion detection and standard motion detection?

Standard motion detection triggers on any pixel change, including shadows, trees or passing clouds. Perimeter intrusion detection and line-crossing detection use zone-based analysis to reduce false alerts by only triggering when movement crosses a defined boundary or enters a specified area.
