The RekorHD 8-channel 2MP analogue CCTV kit comprises an 8-channel DVR with a pre-installed 1TB hard drive, four weatherproof white bullet cameras rated to 2MP (1080p) resolution, and all required cables and power supplies for a complete installation. Each camera features a 3.6mm fixed lens and 30m night vision range using infrared LEDs, with IP66 weatherproofing allowing both indoor and outdoor mounting.

Designed for residential, small business and light commercial surveillance, the kit supports continuous, scheduled or motion-triggered recording modes. The DVR uses H.265 video compression to extend storage duration on the 1TB drive compared to older H.264 systems, typically allowing 10-14 days of continuous 4-camera recording at 2MP resolution before overwriting begins. The system supports perimeter intrusion detection and line-crossing detection, triggering alerts when movement crosses a defined boundary or enters a zone you set in the software.

Remote monitoring runs via the RekorHD mobile app on Android or iOS, or through PC software over a local network or internet connection. The DVR allows simultaneous playback, live viewing and recording without interrupting any function, and footage can be backed up to USB storage for evidence transfer or archiving. The mouse-driven on-screen menu handles configuration, camera positioning and playback without requiring a separate keyboard.

The four included bullet cameras mount on exterior walls, soffits or interior ceilings using the supplied brackets, with cable runs back to the DVR typically routed through loft spaces or external conduit. The 8-channel DVR leaves four vacant channels, allowing expansion to a full 8-camera system by purchasing additional RekorHD analogue cameras separately.

How many days of recording does the 1TB drive hold?

With all four cameras recording continuously at 2MP resolution using H.265 compression, the 1TB drive typically stores 10-14 days before the oldest footage is overwritten. Motion-only recording extends this significantly depending on activity levels.

Can I add more cameras later?

Yes. The DVR has 8 channels but only 4 cameras are included in this kit. You can add up to 4 additional RekorHD analogue cameras to fill the remaining channels. Additional cameras are sold separately.

What is the night vision range?

Each bullet camera has infrared LEDs providing up to 30m night vision in complete darkness. Actual range depends on the scene — open areas with little obstruction perform better than enclosed spaces or areas with foreground objects.

Does the kit include all cables and power supplies?

Yes. The kit includes the DVR, four cameras, coaxial video cables, power supplies for the cameras and DVR, and mounting brackets. You may need additional cable if the run from camera to DVR exceeds the supplied length, or external conduit for exposed outdoor cable runs.
