The cameras record at 1080p resolution and support both continuous and motion-triggered recording modes, with H.265 video compression reducing storage requirements compared to older H.264 systems.

Designed for residential properties, small commercial premises and outbuildings requiring perimeter security, the kit covers four separate viewpoints with 30m infrared night vision on each camera. The bullet cameras carry IP66 weatherproof rating, allowing them to be mounted externally on walls, eaves or posts without additional housing. Each camera uses a fixed 3.6mm lens providing approximately 80-degree horizontal field of view, suitable for monitoring doorways, driveways, gates and building sides.

The DVR supports perimeter intrusion detection and line crossing detection, sending alerts when motion crosses a defined boundary rather than triggering on general movement like tree branches or passing clouds. Remote monitoring works via iOS and Android apps or PC software, allowing live viewing, playback and system configuration from anywhere with internet access. The DVR can record, play back and stream simultaneously without pausing any function.

The system uses analogue transmission over coaxial cable rather than IP network cabling, simplifying installation where existing coaxial runs are present or where running network cable would be difficult. What is the night vision range?

Each bullet camera provides 30m infrared night vision in complete darkness. Actual visible range depends on ambient light conditions and the reflectivity of surfaces being monitored.

Can I add more cameras later?

The DVR is a 4-channel unit, so it supports a maximum of four cameras total. To expand beyond four cameras you would need to upgrade to an 8-channel or 16-channel DVR system.

How long does 500GB of storage last?

Recording duration depends on resolution, frame rate and whether motion detection or continuous recording is used. With four cameras recording continuously at 2MP with H.265 compression, 500GB typically provides 7-10 days of footage. Motion-only recording extends this significantly.
