Description

The RekorHD RHDC2812VFDWAV is a 2MP analogue dome camera with a manually adjustable 2.8-12mm varifocal lens, delivering 1080p resolution over coaxial cable. The lens adjustment allows the field of view to be set anywhere between 113° wide-angle at 2.8mm and 30° telephoto at 12mm during installation, making it suitable for both broad coverage of entrances and driveways, and tighter framing of specific zones like gates or parking bays.

Designed for fixed commercial and residential CCTV installations, the camera mounts to walls or soffits via a three-point base plate and connects to HD analogue DVRs using standard coaxial cable runs. The 1/2.7-inch image sensor captures usable footage in daylight and switches to black-and-white infrared mode after dark, with 30 IR LEDs providing up to 30m of night vision range. The IP66-rated housing protects against dust ingress and water jets, while the IK10 impact rating means the dome can withstand direct blows of 20 joules without cracking.

The white polycarbonate dome housing blends into light-coloured walls and soffits without drawing attention, while the black camera mechanism inside remains visible through the smoked dome. The camera operates on 12V DC power and functions across a temperature range of -30°C to +50°C, making it suitable for UK outdoor use year-round. The 147mm diameter dome and 117mm height project approximately 120mm from the mounting surface once fitted.

What DVR does this camera work with?

The RekorHD dome outputs HD analogue signal over coaxial cable and is compatible with HD-TVI, AHD and CVI format DVRs. Check the DVR specifications to confirm support for 1080p resolution at 2MP. The camera does not output IP/network video.

How is the lens adjusted?

The 2.8-12mm varifocal lens is adjusted manually during installation by removing the dome cover and turning the lens assembly. Once set to the desired field of view, the dome is replaced and the camera is fixed in position. The lens cannot be adjusted remotely.

What night vision range does it provide?

The 30 infrared LEDs provide up to 30m of monochrome night vision in complete darkness. Actual range depends on reflectivity of surfaces in view and ambient light pollution. The camera switches automatically between day colour and night infrared modes based on light levels.

Is it suitable for outdoor use in the UK?

Yes. The IP66 rating protects against rain, snow and dust, and the operating temperature range of -30°C to +50°C covers UK winter and summer extremes. The IK10 anti-vandal rating means the dome can withstand direct impacts without cracking, making it suitable for ground-floor installations.
