Description

The RekorHD RHDC2812VFDG is a 2MP analogue dome camera with a manually adjustable 2.8-12mm varifocal lens, allowing field-of-view adjustment between 113° at the wide end and 30° at the telephoto end. The camera records at 1920 x 1080 resolution using a 1/2.7" image sensor and outputs analogue HD signal over coaxial cable to a compatible DVR.

Designed for residential and light commercial security installation, the camera suits external mounting under eaves, on wall brackets, or ceiling-mounted in covered outdoor areas. The IP66-rated housing protects against dust ingress and high-pressure water jets, allowing the camera to operate in exposed outdoor conditions. Forty infrared LEDs around the lens provide up to 30m night vision range in total darkness, with automatic day/night switching between colour and monochrome modes.

The varifocal lens allows installers to set the viewing angle on-site by rotating the lens ring inside the dome cover, making it possible to cover a wide entrance area at 2.8mm or zoom tighter onto a gate or vehicle registration plate at 12mm without changing the camera position. The grey finish blends against grey render, concrete and weathered timber surfaces more subtly than white or black alternatives. The camera operates on 12V DC power and handles ambient temperatures from -30°C to +50°C, suiting UK winter installation and hot summer roof spaces.

The dome diameter measures 126mm with a 102mm base height, giving a low-profile appearance that sits flush against most surfaces. The camera mounts via a three-screw base plate with cable entry through the side or rear depending on installation position.
