Description

The RekorHD RHDC550VFBG is a 2MP analogue bullet camera with a motorised 5-50mm varifocal lens, delivering 1080p HD video over standard coaxial cabling. The motorised lens allows remote adjustment of the field of view from 49° wide-angle to 7° telephoto without needing to access the camera physically, making it suitable for installations where the optimal framing is determined after the camera is mounted.

Designed for outdoor surveillance on commercial premises, warehouses, car parks and perimeter monitoring, the camera carries IP66 weatherproof protection and operates in temperatures from -30°C to +50°C. The 60m infrared LED array provides night vision in complete darkness, automatically switching between day and night modes as ambient light changes. The camera mounts on a standard bullet bracket and connects to analogue DVRs via BNC coaxial cable, drawing power from a separate 12V DC supply.

The 1/2.8" image sensor captures detail in mixed lighting conditions, and the grey metal housing reduces visual impact against grey render, concrete and steel cladding. The motorised varifocal lens is controlled via UTC (up-the-coax) protocol from compatible DVRs, meaning focal length and focus adjustments can be made remotely without climbing back to the camera position. The camera body measures Ø108mm × 301mm including the mounting bracket and sunshield.

Frequently Asked

What DVR systems is this camera compatible with?

The camera outputs analogue HD video over coaxial cable and is compatible with AHD, TVI, CVI and CVBS DVRs. The motorised lens requires a DVR with UTC (up-the-coax) control capability to adjust focal length remotely — check your DVR specification before purchasing if remote zoom control is needed.

What is the infrared range?

The infrared LED array provides up to 60m illumination range in complete darkness, though effective range depends on the focal length setting and whether there are reflective surfaces in the scene. At the 50mm telephoto end, the infrared throw is more concentrated and reaches further than at the 5mm wide-angle setting.

Can the camera be mounted indoors?

Yes, though the IP66 weatherproof housing and large form factor make it more suited to outdoor use. For indoor applications a dome or smaller bullet camera is typically more appropriate unless the deterrent effect of a large visible camera is specifically wanted.

What cabling and power does it need?

The camera requires coaxial cable (RG59 or better) to the DVR for video signal and a separate 12V DC power supply. Power is not transmitted over the coax — a dedicated power run or local 12V PSU at the camera location is required. Consult the manual for maximum cable run lengths at 2MP resolution.
