Description

The RekorHD 2MP analogue dome camera captures 1080p video through a 2.8-12mm varifocal lens with a 1/2.7-inch image sensor. The adjustable focal length allows the viewing angle to shift between 113° wide-angle coverage and 30° narrow-field zoom, set manually on installation using the lens adjustment ring inside the dome housing.

Designed for commercial and residential outdoor CCTV applications, the camera mounts to ceilings, soffits and wall brackets, providing coverage of entrances, car parks, retail forecourts and building perimeters. The IP66-rated housing seals against dust ingress and high-pressure water jets, while the IK10 impact rating protects the dome from vandalism attempts. Thirty infrared LEDs around the lens provide up to 30m night vision in total darkness, switching on automatically at dusk.

The grey powder-coated metal housing measures 147mm diameter by 117mm high and weighs 1.1kg. The camera operates on 12V DC power and functions in temperatures from -30°C to +50°C, making it suitable for UK outdoor installation year-round. The analogue video output connects to standard DVR recorders via coaxial cable. The dome itself is a clear polycarbonate hemisphere that conceals the exact lens direction from observers on the ground.

Installation requires mounting the baseplate to the ceiling or soffit, running the coaxial video cable and 12V DC power cable through the central knockout, then adjusting the varifocal lens to frame the required field of view before sealing the dome cover. The two fixing screws on the dome body lock the cover in place and are recessed to resist casual tampering.

The RekorHD outputs analogue video compatible with standard TVI, AHD, CVI and CVBS DVR recorders. It will work with most modern hybrid DVRs that support 1080p analogue cameras. Check your DVR specification to confirm compatibility.

How far can the infrared LEDs illuminate at night?

The thirty infrared LEDs provide up to 30m night vision in total darkness. Effective range depends on the scene — reflective surfaces and open areas give longer range than dark-textured walls or foliage.

Can the lens angle be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The 2.8-12mm varifocal lens is adjusted manually using the lens ring inside the dome housing. Loosen the dome cover, set the focal length to frame the required field of view, then lock the dome back in place.
