Description

The RekorHD RHDC36FDW is a 2MP analogue dome camera with a fixed 3.6mm lens, 1/2.8" image sensor and 30 infrared LEDs for night vision up to 30m. The camera records 1080p video at 25fps over standard coaxial cable to an analogue DVR, providing a cost-effective upgrade from older CCTV systems without requiring new cable runs.

Designed for indoor and outdoor installation on domestic and commercial properties, the dome housing carries IP66 weatherproof protection against dust and water ingress. The 3.6mm lens delivers an 87° horizontal viewing angle, which suits coverage of standard driveways, building entrances, retail spaces and corridors. The camera operates on 12V DC power (power supply not included) and functions in temperatures from -30°C to +50°C.

The infrared LEDs activate automatically in low light, allowing the camera to continue recording in monochrome after dark without additional lighting. The white dome housing measures Ø100 x 82mm and weighs 400g, giving it a low-profile appearance on both white-painted soffits and darker surfaces. The 1/2.8" sensor balances light sensitivity with resolution, delivering usable footage in typical UK daylight and street-lit evening conditions.

The RekorHD dome works with any analogue DVR that supports HD-TVI, AHD or CVI formats at 2MP resolution. It connects over standard coaxial cable (RG59 or similar) using a BNC connector. Check your DVR's input format compatibility before purchase.

How far can the infrared see at night?

The 30 infrared LEDs provide night vision up to 30m in complete darkness. Effective range depends on the reflectivity of the surface being viewed — lighter surfaces reflect more IR and appear brighter on recording.

Can the lens be adjusted?

No. The 3.6mm lens is fixed and cannot be changed or adjusted after installation. The 87° viewing angle is determined by this lens and is suitable for most standard coverage applications.

What power supply is needed?

The camera operates on 12V DC. A suitable power supply is not included and must be purchased separately. Most users pair this with a multi-output 12V DC CCTV power supply when running multiple cameras.
