Description

The RekorHD 2MP analogue bullet camera delivers 1080p resolution through a 3.6mm fixed lens and a 1/2.8" image sensor, providing an 87° viewing angle that covers typical doorways, driveways and small commercial entrances. The camera outputs analogue HD video over coaxial cable to a compatible DVR, making it suitable for upgrading existing coaxial CCTV installations without rewiring.

Designed for outdoor installation, the IP66-rated housing protects the camera against rain, dust and wind-blown debris in UK weather conditions. Thirty infrared LEDs provide up to 30m night vision in complete darkness, automatically switching between day and colour imaging modes based on ambient light levels. The camera operates on 12V DC power, typically supplied from a centralised CCTV power distribution unit or individual plug-pack adaptor.

The white thermoplastic housing measures 71mm diameter by 151mm length and weighs 350g, mounting to walls or soffits via the integrated swivel bracket. The camera operates across a temperature range of -30°C to +50°C, covering both winter freezing conditions and direct summer sun exposure. The 3.6mm lens provides a middle-ground field of view between wide-angle overview cameras (2.8mm) and tighter-focus identification cameras (6mm or 8mm).

Frequently Asked

What type of cable and DVR does this camera require?

The RekorHD outputs analogue HD (AHD, TVI or CVI format depending on DVR setting) over standard RG59 coaxial cable to a compatible analogue HD DVR. It does not output IP network video and cannot connect directly to a network switch or NVR.

What's the effective night vision range?

The thirty infrared LEDs provide up to 30m range in complete darkness, though effective identification distance depends on the scene. The 3.6mm lens gives useful facial recognition to approximately 8-10m and vehicle identification to 15-20m under infrared illumination.

Can it be used indoors?

Yes. The IP66 rating means it's overbuilt for indoor use, but the camera works equally well inside. Most users choose dome cameras for internal areas and bullet cameras for external perimeters, but there's no technical barrier to using this indoors.

What power supply is needed?

The camera runs on 12V DC, typically supplied from a centralised CCTV power distribution unit feeding multiple cameras, or from an individual 12V plug-pack adaptor if installing a single camera. Power consumption details are in the specification sheet linked above.
