Description

The RekorHD 8-channel analogue CCTV kit combines an 8-channel DVR with a pre-installed 4TB hard drive, four 2MP bullet cameras rated IP66, and all cables and power supplies needed for installation. The DVR records in 1080p resolution using H.265 compression, which reduces file sizes compared to older H.264 systems while maintaining image quality, extending the usable storage capacity of the 4TB drive.

Designed for residential and light commercial use, the kit covers up to four outdoor or indoor positions with the included bullet cameras. Each camera carries a 3.6mm fixed lens giving approximately 80° horizontal field of view, and infrared LEDs rated to 30m for night vision. The DVR supports perimeter intrusion detection and line crossing detection, triggering recording or alerts when movement crosses a user-defined boundary rather than relying on simple motion detection across the whole frame.

Remote monitoring works via the ESP RekorHD app for iOS and Android, or through a web browser on Windows or Mac. The system allows simultaneous playback, live viewing and recording, so reviewing archived footage does not interrupt ongoing recording. Continuous, scheduled and motion-triggered recording modes are selectable per camera, and footage can be backed up to USB for evidence transfer or archival.

The DVR and cameras are finished in white plastic housings. The bullet cameras mount to exterior walls, soffits or posts using the included brackets, and the IP66 rating protects against dust ingress and water jets from any direction. The mouse-driven menu system on the DVR simplifies setup and configuration without needing a separate keyboard.

Perimeter intrusion detection allows you to draw a boundary line or zone on the camera's field of view. The DVR triggers recording or alerts only when movement crosses that boundary, reducing false alerts from general motion like trees or passing traffic outside the monitored area.
