The RekorHD 2MP 4-channel analogue CCTV kit combines a 4-channel DVR with a 2TB pre-installed hard drive, four IP66-rated bullet cameras, all cabling and a 12V power supply in a single package. Each camera records at 1920×1080 resolution (2MP) with a fixed 3.6mm lens, providing a horizontal field of view of approximately 90 degrees at a range up to 30 metres in infrared mode for night recording.

Designed for residential and small commercial installations covering driveways, car parks, garden perimeters and building entrances, the system uses H.265 video compression to store more footage per terabyte than older H.264 systems. The DVR supports continuous recording, scheduled recording and motion-triggered recording, with perimeter intrusion detection and line-crossing detection to reduce false alarms from passing cars or animals outside the monitored zone. Remote monitoring runs via the RekorHD app on Android and iOS, or through a web browser on PC, allowing playback and live view from any internet connection.

The four bullet cameras are white polycarbonate housings rated to IP66, meaning they withstand heavy rain and dust exposure when mounted outdoors. The included cabling provides video and power transmission from the DVR to each camera over coaxial runs, with the system power supply delivering 12V DC to the DVR and distributing power to all four cameras from a single mains socket. The DVR menu is mouse-driven and supports USB backup for transferring footage to external drives.

The 2TB hard drive typically stores 10-14 days of continuous four-camera recording at 2MP resolution with H.265 compression, depending on motion activity and scene complexity. Playback, recording and remote viewing can run simultaneously without interrupting the live feed or reducing recording quality.

Can the cameras be used outdoors?
