Description

The RekorHD 2MP 4-channel analogue CCTV kit pairs a 1TB hard drive DVR with four weatherproof bullet cameras, delivering 1080p video recording and remote monitoring capability via Android, iOS or PC. The DVR uses H.265 video compression to maximise storage efficiency, allowing longer retention periods on the pre-installed 1TB drive compared to older H.264 systems.

Designed for residential properties, small commercial premises and outbuildings, the kit covers four camera positions with day/night switching and a 30m infrared range per camera. Each bullet camera carries an IP66 rating for outdoor installation in UK weather conditions. The DVR supports perimeter intrusion detection and line-crossing detection, triggering recording or alerts when movement crosses user-defined zones rather than recording every motion event indiscriminately.

The kit ships complete with the DVR, four cameras, connection cables and a 12V system power supply. Installation requires mounting the cameras, running cables back to the DVR location, and configuring detection zones via the mouse-driven menu interface. Once configured, the system records continuously, on a schedule, or on motion detection depending on user preference. Footage can be backed up to USB for evidence transfer, and the DVR allows simultaneous playback, recording and remote viewing without interrupting any function.

The white camera housings suit lighter-coloured exterior finishes and offer a visible deterrent presence. The 3.6mm fixed lens on each camera provides a mid-range field of view, balancing area coverage with recognisable detail at typical driveway, garden and entrance distances of 5-15m.

Can the cameras be used outdoors?

What is perimeter intrusion detection?

Perimeter intrusion detection allows you to define zones within the camera's field of view. When movement enters a defined zone, the DVR triggers recording or sends an alert.
