The RekorHD 2MP 4-channel analogue CCTV kit pairs a 4-channel DVR with a pre-installed 500GB hard drive and two 2MP dome cameras in white. The DVR records in 1080p resolution using H.265 video compression to reduce storage requirements while maintaining image quality, and supports remote monitoring through Android, iOS and PC applications.

Designed as a complete residential or small commercial surveillance system, the kit includes the DVR, both dome cameras with 30m infrared night vision and IP66 weatherproof housing, BNC video cables, power supply and system cabling. The two included dome cameras cover entry points, driveways or retail spaces, while the DVR's two remaining channels allow expansion with additional cameras later. Each camera uses a 3.6mm fixed lens providing approximately 80-degree horizontal coverage.

The DVR supports continuous, scheduled and motion-triggered recording modes, with intelligent functions including perimeter intrusion detection and line-crossing detection that reduce false alarms from shadows or moving foliage. Footage can be played back, recorded and viewed remotely at the same time, allowing live monitoring while the system continues recording. The mouse-driven interface simplifies setup and playback, and footage transfers to USB drives for evidence archiving or sharing with authorities.

The white finish on both the cameras and DVR suits light-coloured building exteriors and interiors where visibility of the surveillance system acts as a deterrent. The dome cameras mount to ceilings or soffits using the included bracket hardware, while the compact DVR (440 x 215 x 285mm) fits into server cabinets, cupboards or rack-mount positions.

Can I add more cameras later?

Yes. The DVR supports up to four cameras and this kit includes two, leaving two channels available for expansion. Additional cameras must be analogue HD models compatible with the DVR's TVI/AHD/CVI input standards.

What's the night vision range?

Each dome camera has infrared LEDs providing 30m night vision in complete darkness. Actual range depends on ambient light and the presence of reflective surfaces.

How is footage accessed remotely?

The DVR connects to a network router via Ethernet cable (not included). Once connected, download the RekorHD app for Android or iOS, or use the PC client software. Remote access requires port forwarding or DDNS configuration depending on your network setup.

How long does 500GB record for?

Recording duration depends on resolution, compression settings and recording mode. With two cameras recording continuously at 2MP using H.265 compression, 500GB typically provides 10-15 days of footage before overwriting begins.
