Description

The RekorHD RHD4KB2G is a 4-channel analogue CCTV kit bundled with a 500GB DVR, two 2MP (1080p) bullet cameras, cables and a 12V system power supply. The DVR records in H.265 compression to maximise storage efficiency, fitting approximately 30 days of continuous 2MP footage onto the pre-installed 500GB hard drive depending on scene activity and motion detection settings.

Designed for residential and small commercial installation, the kit covers typical domestic perimeters (front and rear of a property, driveway and side access) or retail shopfronts where two camera positions provide adequate coverage. Both bullet cameras carry IP66 weatherproof ratings for outdoor mounting and include 30m infrared night vision with automatic day/night switching. The 3.6mm fixed lens on each camera gives a horizontal field of view of approximately 85 degrees, suited to monitoring driveways, garden gates and building entrances at ranges of 3-15m.

The DVR supports perimeter intrusion detection and line crossing detection, triggering recording or push notifications when movement crosses a user-defined boundary on screen. Remote monitoring works via the RekorHD app for Android and iOS or through a web browser on PC, allowing live view, playback and configuration from off-site. The DVR can record, play back archived footage and stream remotely simultaneously without interrupting any function. Footage is exported via USB for evidence transfer or archiving.

The grey finish on the bullet camera housings reduces visual contrast against render, UPVC soffits and lighter-toned brickwork compared to black housings. The DVR chassis is a compact 1U rack format (440mm W x 195mm D x 45mm H) and can be shelf-mounted in a garage, loft or utility cupboard. The system is mouse-driven with an on-screen menu for setup and configuration, with HDMI and VGA outputs for connection to a monitor during installation.

Can I add more cameras later?

Yes. The DVR supports up to 4 channels, so two additional analogue cameras can be added. Use 2MP or higher resolution cameras compatible with AHD, TVI or CVI analogue HD standards. Cameras and cable are sold separately.

How much footage does 500GB hold?

Approximately 30 days of continuous 2MP recording with H.265 compression, depending on scene complexity and motion. Motion-triggered recording extends this significantly. The hard drive can be upgraded to a larger capacity if needed.

What's the night vision range?

Both bullet cameras include 30m infrared LEDs. Effective range depends on ambient light and the reflectivity of surfaces in view — most domestic driveways and gardens see clear monochrome imaging to 15-20m in total darkness.

Is the system compatible with existing analogue cameras?

The DVR works with AHD, TVI, CVI and CVBS analogue cameras. If you have existing older CCTV cameras with BNC connectors, they can be used alongside the RekorHD 2MP cameras, though resolution will be limited to the older camera's capability.
