Description

The RekorHD 16-channel analogue DVR records and displays up to 16 cameras at 2MP (1080p) resolution, storing footage on a pre-installed 4TB hard drive. H.265 video compression reduces file sizes by approximately 50% compared to H.264, extending storage capacity and allowing longer retention periods without upgrading the hard drive. The unit outputs via HDMI at up to 4K resolution for monitoring and playback on compatible displays.

Designed for residential, small business and light commercial surveillance installations, the DVR supports continuous, scheduled and motion-triggered recording modes across all 16 channels simultaneously. Perimeter intrusion detection and line crossing detection trigger alerts when movement crosses defined boundaries, reducing false alarms from ambient motion outside the monitored zone. Remote monitoring works via Android and iOS apps or PC client software, allowing live viewing and playback from any internet-connected device.

The DVR accepts standard analogue CCTV cameras on BNC connectors and runs on 12V DC power via the included supply. A USB port on the front panel allows footage to be backed up to a flash drive for evidence transfer or archival. The mouse-driven menu system controls all recording settings, camera configuration, detection zones and playback functions without requiring a keyboard. The 4TB drive provides approximately 30-45 days of continuous recording at 2MP across 16 channels depending on scene complexity and compression settings.

Frequently Asked

What cameras does this DVR work with?

The RekorHD accepts standard analogue CCTV cameras on BNC connectors, including TVI, AHD and CVBS formats. It does not support IP cameras. Check the full specification sheet in Downloads for supported camera formats and maximum resolution per format.

How long does 4TB record for?

Recording duration depends on resolution, frame rate and scene activity. At 2MP across 16 channels with H.265 compression, expect approximately 30-45 days of continuous recording. Motion-triggered recording extends this significantly.

Can I view footage remotely?

Yes. The DVR supports remote monitoring via Android and iOS apps or PC client software. You can view live feeds, play back recorded footage and receive motion detection alerts when connected to the internet.

What's included in the box?

The DVR comes with the 4TB hard drive pre-installed, a 12V power supply, HDMI cable, USB mouse for menu navigation, and mounting brackets. BNC cables for connecting cameras are sold separately.
