Description

The Rekor IP is a 2MP PoE dome camera with a 2.8mm fixed lens, 1/2.8" image sensor and dual white LED and infrared illumination covering up to 30 metres. The camera records 1080p resolution via PoE (Power over Ethernet), eliminating the need for separate power cabling at the installation point.

Designed for external installation on walls, soffits and eaves, the IP67-rated housing protects the internal components from dust ingress and water jets from any direction. The 2.8mm lens provides a 115° diagonal viewing angle, suitable for covering wide zones such as driveways, front gardens, side passages and commercial entrances. The built-in microphone and speaker enable two-way audio communication through a connected network recorder or compatible app.

The camera supports local recording to a microSD card up to 128GB capacity, providing backup storage if network connectivity is lost. The grey polycarbonate dome housing measures 133mm diameter and projects 135mm from the mounting surface once installed. White LED and IR switching is automatic based on ambient light levels, with the white LEDs providing colour night vision in moderate darkness and IR taking over in complete darkness.

Frequently Asked

Does the camera require separate power cabling?

No. The camera is powered via PoE (Power over Ethernet), meaning a single network cable supplies both data and power. You will need a PoE-capable network switch or injector at the recorder end of the cable run.

What's the difference between white LED and IR illumination?

The white LEDs provide colour night vision in moderate darkness, allowing the camera to record in colour rather than black-and-white. In complete darkness the camera switches to infrared, which records in monochrome but extends the visible range to 30 metres.

Can the camera be mounted indoors?

Yes. The IP67 rating means the camera is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation. For indoor use the housing provides impact resistance and dust protection.

What viewing area does the 2.8mm lens cover?

The 2.8mm lens provides a 115° diagonal viewing angle. At a mounting height of 2.5-3m this typically covers a driveway width of 6-8m or a garden gate and front path area without zooming or panning.
