Description

The Rekor IP RC228FBG is a 2MP bullet camera with a 2.8mm fixed lens offering a 115° diagonal viewing angle, dual white LED and IR illumination up to 30m, and PoE (Power over Ethernet) connectivity. The camera captures 1080p resolution video via a 1/2.8" image sensor and supports both colour night vision under white LED and traditional IR night vision depending on ambient light conditions.

Designed for outdoor perimeter monitoring, driveways, building entrances and garden areas, the camera's IP67-rated housing protects against rain, dust and sustained outdoor exposure. The 2.8mm wide-angle lens covers large areas at close to medium range, making it well-suited to positions 3-8m from the target zone. PoE eliminates the need for separate power cabling, running both data and power over a single Ethernet cable back to a compatible NVR or PoE switch.

The built-in microphone and speaker enable two-way audio communication through compatible NVR systems or mobile apps, allowing remote conversation with visitors or intruders. The camera accepts microSD cards up to 128GB for local recording as a backup to NVR storage. The grey finish provides a neutral appearance against rendered walls, fascia boards and metal cladding without the high visibility of white housings.

The camera switches automatically between white LED (colour night vision) and IR (monochrome) depending on ambient light. White LED mode produces colour images in low light but is visible to the human eye. IR mode activates in complete darkness, producing monochrome images while remaining invisible to intruders.

Does this camera require a separate NVR?

The camera is designed to work with a PoE NVR or network switch for recording and remote viewing. It can also record locally to a microSD card (up to 128GB, sold separately) as a backup, but this does not enable remote viewing without additional network configuration.
